The Williams Sisters: Crazy 8s

Venus and Serena have dazzling numbers, just as Roger Federer does, although Venus outshines her sister, but not by much. I'll start with Venus.

Venus was born June 17th, 1980 making her Destiny Number, or Life Path Number, an 8 and 8 is, of course, the jackpot number promising health, prosperity and success e.g., big success. 8s like everything bigger, grander and more fabulous. Two other personalities with 8 as a Life Path Number include Elizabeth Taylor and Roger Federer.

Venus really outdoes herself because her Expression Number (derived from her name) is also an 8 as is Elizabeth Taylor's.

And with respect to Venus's birthday, if you 'reduce' the 17th to 1 plus 7 you arrive at still another 8!

I'm not done. 2010 is going to be an 8 year for her.

I don't think I've ever done a reading that has revealed so many 8s. Just phenomenal.

As if having all those 8s weren't enough, Venus is blessed with the letter 'v' which is a  Master Letter that corresponds to the number 11, one of two Master Numbers. Interestingly, Roger Federer also has an 11 in his numbers. His name is an 11. As I explained about Roger, 11s emit a powerful and positive energy. 11s make their mark and leave it for posterity.

Her sister, Serena, has some pretty impressive numbers herself.  For starters, both 'Serena' and 'Williams' correspond to the number 8 respectively.

And, just like her big sister, Serena's birthday, the 26th, when 'reduced' is also an 8.

Unfortunately, 2010 is not going to be an 8 year for her, rather, Serena is looking at a 2. This could mean she will not win any major Grand Slams or may imply that this year and that she will have to be content being in the 'shadow' of number 1 or it could imply that 2010 will be a harmonious and balanced one, which is always a desirable thing.

Regardless of their numbers, I don't think anyone would dispute the fact that Venus and Serena are a winning combination.  After all, when you 'reduce' their first names to the smallest single digit it's, what a surprize, an 8!

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal: Match Point

I've just finished doing Federer's and Nadal's numbers and Federer's numbers are simply brilliant!  Let's take a look.

Federer's birth date is August 8th, 1981 which makes him a Leo and Leos are the 'stars' of the Universe. He was not only born in the eighth month, August, but was born on the eighth as well! And as followers of this blog and numerologists  know 8 is your jack pot number. It symbolizes health, wealth, prosperity and success and I  mean success with a capital 's'.  In China the number 8 is so revered that their recent Summer Olympics began on August 8 at 8pm! And if Roger was not already lucky enough, his Destiny Number (derived from the numbers in your birthday) is also an 8! Yikes!

Roger has been equally as fortunate with his Expression Number (derived from the letters in one's name) which is 11, which is one of the two Master Numbers (the other being 22). And anyone with a Master Number associated with their name is a mover and shaker. They leave their imprint on the world. 11s are the visionaries of the Universe.  Another way to think of '11' is as a higher frequency of the number '2'. It emits the same energy as '2', but with greater intensity and power. '2s' are diplomatic and tactful. They are harmonious and balanced. They navigate on smooth waters. They are not easily ruffled or flustered. They retain a calm and cool composure which, I think, are attributes one might easily ascribe to Federer.

What kind of year is Federer going to have? Well, his numbers indicate that he is in a '1' year which means he will enjoy being ranked as the number one tennis player in the world for at least part of the time.

Now, on to Nadal whose numbers are not quite so dazzling. His Destiny Number is 6 and 6 is the number of perfection and responsibility. It's also the number most closely associated with domesticity and family. This seems appropriate as Nadal's family is an extremely close knit one and they are of paramount importance to him. In fact, his parent's divorce last year was cited as one of the major reasons, along with his knee injuries, why he performed so poorly in 2009.

Nadal's Expression Number is 3 and 3s are the optimists of the Universe. They emit a forceful positive energy. They are the enthusiasts who are rarely discouraged. This seems to fit Nadal's temperament to a tee. Although hugely competitive, he remains positive despite the outcome. I don't think I have ever heard him make a disparaging remark about another player. Admirable indeed. And, of course, 3 is one of the luckiest numbers there is in both Eastern and Western cultures.

Nadal also has a 9 in his make-up. If you add his birth month of June, which is a 6, with his birthday, which is 3, you have 9 and 9 symbolizes exulted status and greatness. It also signifies longevity.

As to who will win Winbledom this year it's a tough one to call even numerologically.  That is, of course, if they make the finals, which I hope they do. If they do, one would have to look at the date they are playing to make any kind of informed reading. Of course, Nadal has that 'l' at the end of his name and 'ls' are notorious for always having to have the last word.  Hm mm.....

Finally, Nadal's and Federers' rivalry was destined to be as they share 4 letters together, 'r', 'd', 'e' and 'f'. Theirs is a cosmic overlap, so to speak. Interestingly, if you add up the numerical equivalents to the 4 letters they share you get the number 6 which is, of course, Nadal's Destiny Number which may indicate that he will ultimately supersede his 'twin', Federer. Don't forget that Nadal being a Gemini has a twin. And strangest of all is that Nadal's full  name not only shares the  'f', 'e', 'd' and 'r', but that they spell 'fedr'. What's one to make of that?  It ususally means that the person holding the other's name within their name has the upper hand.  Pretty powerful stuff. We'll just have to wait and see, but I'm putting my money on Rafa.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer: True Blood and True Blue

This is a very interesting couple because for two people who are engaged to be married they share no vowels and only one consonant, a 'p', so one could surmise that they are not a 'match' as sharing letters is often a harbinger of romantic good luck.

Their shared 'p' corresponds to a '7' in numerology and 7s symbolize spirituality.7s vibrate to a non-materialistic frequency. They remain unattached to the concrete or physical. They are introspective and reflective. There is nothing casual or lightweight about the number 7. It emits an intense and penetrating energy.

7's ruling planet is Neptune, who was the Roman God of the Sea, and is also the ruling planet of Pisces. Astrologically, Neptune is associated with idealism and compassion and, sometimes, with delusion.  It is also associated with spirituality and mysticism, religion, art and music, fantasy and imagination, psychic phenomena and altered mental states.  In short, the non-literal world.  In medicine, Neptune is particularly associated with the thalamus, the spinal cord and mysterious or obscure illnesses and neuroses (Wikipedia).

With respect to Paquin and Moyer, the number seven in Chinese culture symbolizes 'togetherness'. It is the ultimate good luck number for relationships and marriages.  And here in the West 7 is one of our luckiest numbers, if not the luckiest.

Therefore, although this couple shares only one letter, a 'p',  it's an excellent one and bodes well for their union.  Moreover, the number 9 in China, in addition to signifying status and greatness, is the homophone for their word for 'longlasting' making it a frequent talisman at weddings.

O.J. Simpson and Joran van der Sloot: Numbers in Crime

After posting yesterday about van der Sloot and his alleged victims, I thought it might be interesting to take a look at O.J. Simpson's numbers along with those of his victims Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.

Heres' what I found:

-O.J.'s name corresponds to the ill-fated number 4 just as Joran's does.  Remember that 4 is associated with with the bad luck number 13 as 1 plus 3 equals 4.  Remember, too, that many people associate the number 4 with 'death' because in Chinese culture the number 4  is a homophone for their word for 'death' and is consequently shunned.

-Along the same eerie lines is this finding. Nicole Brown also corresponds to the number 4! In fact, her first name, Nicole, is a 4 and her last name, Brown, is a 9 which symbolizes 'endings' and 'death' while her first and last names together add up to a 4 (the number 9 can also symbolize 'status' and 'prestige' as it is the largest single digit number. By the same token, it is also the last single digit before 10, hence the 'ending' interpretation.)
-Nicole and Ron were murdered on June 12th which corresponds to the number 9, another 'ending'.

Enough for now. On to more sleuthing.

Joran van de Sloot Arrested!

Chilean police arrested him earlier today. Interestedly, the date is 6/3 which corresponds to the number 9 which symbolizes 'endings'. Let's hope and pray that this is the end of the line for Mr. van de Sloot if indeed he is found guilty in the death of these two young woman.

Joran van der Sloot: Wanted for 2 Murders

Joran van der Sloot, a young Dutch man, is wanted by Interpol in the connection of the killing of two young women, Natalee Holloway, an American, (this caused quite a media storm)  and Stephany Flores Ramirez, a Peruvian.  What is coincidental and perhaps a bit creepy is that Joran's name corresponds to a '4' in numerology which is 1 plus 3 or the number 13 and , of course, 13 is the number of bad luck and misfortune. In Chinese culture, the number 4 is shunned because it is a homophone for their word for death. In fact, in a tarot reading the number 4 always means a time of repose or stillness.

In doing Joran's and his alleged victims numbers, here's what I came up with.

-The name Natalee corresponds to a 4 which is a match with Joran's full name.
-Both victims share the numbers 3 and 9 with Joran.  Well, there were 3 principle players in this drama and Joran's Destiny Number is 3.   9 is noteworthy as it not only symbolizes 'plenty' and 'superiority', but endings as well.  9 represents the last single digit number before 10. It's the end of the line, so to speak.

- Natalee was murdered on 5/30/2005 which corresponds to a 6 and Stephany was murdered on 5/30/2010 (same date of death) which is a 2. If you subtract 2 from 6 you are left with 4, the number of death.

Make what you will of these 'coincidences' or is this another unfortunate case of synchronicity?  What do you think?

Did She or Didsn't She? The Strange and Alluring Case of Amanda Knox

I don't know about you all, but the case of the 22 year old American student, Amanda Knox, who has been convicted by an Italian court along with her boyfriend of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher, intrigues me.  The case has evolved into quite the imbroglio what with lurid Italian headlines and a colorful and somewhat shady Italian prosecutor, not to mention the violence of the crime itself and at the centerpiece of it all is the defendant herself,  appearing angelic while remaining  somewhat enigmatic and elusive. What's anyone to make of it all?  Although Knox is in fact in prison for the crime, many people believe she is innocent and has been unfairly treated by the Italian press and legal system. They contest that the evidence is at best sketchy and conflicting. Consequently, there have been hypotheses, theories and speculations ad nauseam about what really happened that night Meredith Kercher was murdered.  For many, it has  remained a mystery. And I'm as dumbfounded as the next person. I have no sense if this young woman is innocent or guilty.  However, the relationship between these two women, Amanda and Meredith, interests me. The fact of the matter is that innocent or guilty, Fate has deemed it so that Amanda Knox will forever remain connected in life and in death with Meredith Kercher. So let's take a look at their numbers and letters.

As always, the first thing I look for when doing a reading for two or more people is to see if they share any letters and amazingly Amanda Knox and Meredith Kercher have no letters in common except for the letter 'k' which is the first letter of their respective last names. And this absence of any shared letters tells us a lot e.g., these two women were not emotionally compatible. If one didn't look any further, one might surmise that their relationship was tenuous at best but for one glaring clue.  They share the letter 'k' which is a pretty heavy letter to share if you're going to share a letter. So, what do we know about 'k'? For starters, it's one of the two master letters of the alphabet, with 'v' being the other. The letter 'k' pops up in all sorts of places in our language and culture.

- K is slang for a thousand dollars (it's a cardinal number that is the product of ten and one hundred).

-K 2 is the symbol for the element potassium.

-K is the 'street' name for Ketamine, a general anesthetic and tranquilizer.

-K refers to a strikeout in baseball.

-OK refers to everything is fine or cool

-KO refers to a knock-out in boxing.

'K' is also the eleventh letter of the alphabet and 11 symbolizes the visionary or the enlightened.  These are people (that is,  those people with a  in their name) that are not vested in the material world. Their goal is to illuminate others and express their ideals. They are most comfortable remaining in a spiritual realm. However, if expressed negatively an '11s' traits may include a manipulative or deceptive character which,(think a deranged preacher or demagogue) in the case of Amanda would make sense if in fact she is guilty, but would not apply to Meredith. I can't comment on Meredith as I know nothing about her other than she was a British student studying in Italy and was Amanda's roommate.

But the real attention grabber is that the letter 'k' corresponds to the eleventh card of  the Major Arcana of the tarot which just happens to be the card of Justice. Of all the twenty-six letters in the alphabet that these two women might have shared and of all the twenty-two cards in the Major Arcana that they might have had in common,  it is the card symbolizing Justice that binds them together.

There she sits upon her throne, having first sat for the ancient Greeks who worshipped her as Titaness Themis who delivered oracles at Delphi, with her iconic scales in one hand and her sword of justice in the other. Coincidence, or some kind of psychic or spiritual overlap?  Does the card's appearance which overshadows both Amanda's and Meredith's fate signify a fait accompli?  That is, was this sequence of events involving the two of them just waiting to unfold to its denouement? How much can one attribute to Chance or was this an event between the two of them destined to occur because somewhere it was written.
